Saigon Royal Hotel

Worst hotel. Don't choose it. They shown on website that they have swimming pool , they have big breakfast counter but all fake. I reached hotel exactly at 10 pm from Airport after 10 hour long journey . And they denied serving dinner because their kitchen closes at 10 pm. They didn't care I had my 6 year old son . We had to go out and get our food. It doesn't ends here. The staffs working here are not at all cooperative. We had to leave hotel early in the morning and We requested to atleast avail bread and butter for my son but they said they don't have even bread . It's not possible because they serv bread in breakfast everyday . They are robotic without any feeling or empathy. I went to fill some water on my 260 ml bottle while having my breakfast but been stopped by thier staff saying that we can't take water from thier. Robotic staff , worst room , pathetic service.

Has potential if money invested in it. Arrived with a tour, do not know why this hotel was chosen. Air conditioning- needs complete revamp. Struggled to work out how to put on as no instructions, found it in the cupboard. Bathroom some attempts had been made to address previous concerns by adding more tiles. However needs complete refurbishment. As for the breakfast, kitchen is not fit for purpose, went for breakfast when it opened at 06.30, food was stone cold. Staff member turned on the heaters 30 minutes later. Needless to say I asked for cooked eggs. 15 minute walk into town. If you want a cheap basic hotel then it's OK

Cicilia cannot be considered a 4 star. The room we were showed first was tiny, with view of construction next door , literally a wall; and the wash basin was outside in the room , not in the bathroom. Very ugly and unattractive room, thankfully we checked rooms first and changed to another one. Service was also very poor. When we went to breakfast on Sunday morning, the whole breakfast area was dirty, littered with used plates, food was lying open and unsupervised, and even the furniture and flooring of the breakfast area was broken. Very bad experience, we couldn't eat at all. Rooms are cleaned in the evening even if you've left for outings in the morning. We came back early once and the room had not been cleaned, even at 4 pm. An extremely rude person is also part of staff during the morning hours. The afternoon and evening staff are very polite and helpful, Ms.Li in particular. The only plus point of this hotel is the location, but there are many hotels in and around this place so choose something else please.
