Very friendly helpful staff, cheap as chips, and great location in District 2 for local shops, coffee shops, and the impressive Annam Gourmet deli. Highly recommend the superb breakfast on the terrace overlooking the river at Villa Song next door! However…our hotel was undergoing refurbishment (not mentioned by any website) and there was no main entrance, no bar!, and no access to the pool. New doors from our room onto a small balcony were so badly fitted that large insects could crawl in. And one did. The modern bathroom with its concrete walls and floors, dark paint, and no windows wasn’t the best. And bins with no lids in a Vietnamese bathroom are a definite no no! As was our view directly onto a building site where men worked long into the night with spotlights. Serious noise and disturbance that was so unwelcome. It’s a ‘No’ from us.
