Blue Sky Hotel

Although very near to airport, taxis not willing to go unless paid VDN100000 which is day light robbery. Diffcult to walk there if have luggage. Less food available too in surrounding areas. Might as well stay downtown more choices for food and shopping.

Arrived at the airport at 3.30 in the morning and the transfer was waiting for us. Reception were lovely, straight forward and quick. The room was immaculate, water hot, WIFI perfect, cheap mini bar and even noodle meal available, which we were grateful for and actually tasted pretty good. Cannot believe how cheap this place was considering the quality and the service. 5star all around.

Pros: Nice welcome and help with bags on entry. Good WiFi connection. Big comfy bed. Bottled water in the room. Clean bedrooms. Cons: They advertise free airport transfer but it is available only in certain hours in the day time. The result.. the receptionist ordered me a normal taxi, who charged took 200,000 Vietnamese Dong from me and as I waited for change, the driver just drove off. This was only a 2 minute taxi ride. The only reason I booked this hotel in the first place was to feel safe as a solo traveller and to have the free shuttle service. The shower leaks into the whole bathroom despite having the door shut - slip hazard as the bathroom was competed flooded. The wall between the bathroom and bedroom was all mouldy which you could smell in the bedroom. No window in the bedroom - just a small vent.
