Mai Phuong Thao Hotel

Room is big, quite clean.. Hotel have a room key is different with any hotel, I think it's fine for tourists or couple.. Not expensive but far away from city center. Have one small complimentary bottle water for guests. The room is a little noisy in morning because stay in a big road.

We moved out of our hostel in District 1 because it was so dirty and we decided to stay here. The hotel is in district 13. It's a bit a way out of the city (1hr by bus) but it's nice to get out and see the local areas. It's not hard to get to - take the 13 bus and it drops you on the road with the hotel. Use your google maps to see where the 13 bus stop is. Get the directions from booking.com website because our google maps was getting a bit confused. Trust google maps as this was the way we travelled all around Ho Chi Minh. The bus costs 7000vnd but we got charged for luggage which I'm not sure we got ripped off but anyways in total it was 28000 for 2 people to get there which is a bargain. The hotel is nice. The room and bathroom really clean. The bed is okay, not the major comfortable but good in terms of value. Try to get a room away from the road so it's quieter. One double private room was $11.50 per night. The lady is lovely but she doesn't speak much English so be getting ideas about booking tours etc. right outside on the main road are lots of food stalls so you won't be hungry. To stayed the night and then went for the airport the next day.
