The hotel is centralize and a walking distance to Saigon Centre shopping mall, Saigon Sqaure. However, the hotel is supper old and dated. The rooms needing lots of repairs, no soundproof, old bathrooms and mildew smell. We stayed on the 3rd floor and the hallway to the rooms look like a junkyard. We asked to move to a different room since the next door room is quite noisy, but was told it would be extra to move to a different room or a different floor. Do not stay here if you accompanied by family. There are tons of hotels in Saigon to choose from with much more modern to-date.

The initial hotel room 1006, toilet air circulation fan spoilt. Informed front desk and house keeping, they insist the fan is working but the smell still liger in the toilet. After 2 days, They changed to next door 1008. The structure of the bathtub was I a corner where you have to climb in. Poor design . Location was ideal Staff was friendly.

I am writing to share my deeply disappointing experience at Oscar Saigon Hotel. From the moment we arrived, things went wrong. Our check-in was delayed by 2–3 hours, which set a frustrating tone for our stay. On the day of check-out, I informed the receptionist that we would finalize our departure once we returned. However, my elderly parents, who arrived earlier, were harassed and pressured to check out immediately, and were even subjected to additional charges due to a so-called late check-out. To make matters worse, when we finally returned, we encountered receptionist, whose behavior was shockingly unprofessional. Not only did she exhibit rude and dismissive expressions, but she also insisted that our room was not given to us late—forcing us to demand the CCTV footage to verify our claim. The whole encounter felt like a chaotic bargaining session in a bustling market, not the level of service one would expect from a reputable hotel. This entire ordeal not only ruined our last day in Vietnam but also left us feeling completely disillusioned with the service provided. It is clear that the hotel needs to train their staff better to ensure that guests are treated with respect and courtesy. Based on this experience, I would not recommend Oscar Saigon Hotel to anyone.
