Pearl Palace Hotel

The Pearl Palace Hotel is far from being a palace. It is not expensive, but it is not cheap, either, and is overpriced for what you get. Like many Vietnamese hotels, it has good and bad aspects. My fiancee tells me the Pho Bo was excellent (I'm no expert on this). The shower worked well, though it was too short for me, at six feet tall. The bedding was okay. The towels were decent. The carpet was horrible. The vanity was worn through. The AC takes too long to cool the room down, especially after the first long, stifling ride up the ancient elevator. And the refrigerator shuts off when you leave the room!!

I and my husband flew from Hanoi to Saigon on the late flight in June 2015 and we just wanted to take the place near the airport to sleep but it was ....the W O R S T experience ever! as it's advertising that Pearl palace is 3 star hotel BUT when we walk into the room oopppp!!!! the room was disgustingly stinky,smelly just because of the dirty cheap red carpet and strong smell cockroach of the blanket too.( not joking) it was the shame! my husband said " we please take something else" but it was like 12 AM and tired after long day but we waited in the room for roughly 30 mins but the Air conditioner couldnt cool the room down( swear) so i called the receptionist to change it when i moved to the "upgraded room" but it wasnt better cos that hotel must be empty,no guest for so long and thats why when we walked in,all facilities were not clean,super dusty and dirty,the bath tube looked funny just like for a child's cos i dont think an adult could squeeze in that tiny tube. in the room,just 01 night of sleep but my husband killed about 05 cockroaches they built the windows but they all blocked them with super thick glasses that u absolutely couldnt see a thing outside i think that 3 star hotel ( we paid 35$/01 night) was not worth at all,should have been maximum 10$ . i do not understand the purpose of putting those carpets in the rooms for?? (cos they absorb all the smells and make the room like ..... sh** hole!!!!!!!!!????? NEVER recommend anyone stay in this hotel. totally not north,it will surely destroy your trip !

It's a genuine 3 star hotel. It's clean, simple and nice. It's got a big lobby, clean rooms, nice helpful staff. For a few days on this side of the city or for a lay over this is perfect. The breakfast is included, and the door guy will carry your luggage. They have a computer room and all the wifi you need. Are you going to get royal treatment and a red carpet? No... But are you in HCMC for the hotel room or the city? Thank you. ;)
