Saigon's Book Hotel

Maybe 10-15 years ago it was a good hotel, but now (May 2024) the room is very untidy: the windows in the room do not close (a layer of dust and noise), the furniture is very old and dirty, the bed linen and towels are shabby. It's not a pleasant place even for an overnight stay. Alas, we are disappointed!

We stayed there for one night as we had an early check out the next day. The receptionist speak no English. Didn’t even have an adaptor to lend and didn’t have money exchange service. We waited for a Long time for the hot water because the staff couldn’t explain to us how it works. Breakfast was provided but there was only one option of pho even though the restaurant staff showed us a tablet of 5 choices and coffee was just instant 3-in-1 coffee. Bed was uncomfortable and there was no window. Sound proof is very bad as I could hear people talking. I asked for twin beds but they gave us a queen size bed. One of the staff didn’t change into slippers when he was walking in the room with his shoes on which I think it’s very unhygienic. Tv resolution was very bad. All in all a very disappointing experience

This hotel would not be a good value at $10 a night. It was dirty, beat up and in poor repair. There were broken latches on the windows, loose wiring on the lamps and just gross. We stayed there for 4 hours on a layover and it was 4 hours too long. Can’t say enough bad things. Don’t stay here
