Extremely Disappointing – The Actual Rooms Look Nothing Like the Photos This was one of the most disappointing hotel experiences I have ever had. I booked three double rooms from August 13 to August 19, 2026. However, when we arrived and saw the actual rooms, we found the condition completely unacceptable. The actual rooms looked almost nothing like the photos advertised online. Please look at the photos I personally took at the hotel and compare them with the promotional photos shown on the booking page. The condition of the rooms, furniture, decoration, facilities, and overall atmosphere were completely different from what we had been led to expect. Had these actual photos been shown on the booking page before I made the reservation, I would never have booked this hotel, especially not three rooms for six nights. We informed the front desk immediately that we could not accept the rooms and decided to book another hotel instead. I want to make one point very clear: I did NOT demand a full refund for the entire reservation. I was prepared to accept the cost of the first night. I simply requested a refund for the remaining nights that we would not be staying at the hotel. The hotel refused. We communicated with the hotel and the booking platform repeatedly, almost every day, but the hotel continued to insist on keeping the payment for the remaining nights even though we had explained the problem immediately and did not continue our stay. In the end, the booking platform provided only KRW 100,000 in compensation (approximately RMB 480). Considering that this reservation was for three rooms for six nights, I find this outcome extremely disappointing. This experience also raises a serious question about the booking platform itself: How were promotional photos that differ so significantly from the actual rooms allowed to be displayed and used to sell these rooms? When customers book a hotel online, they cannot inspect the room beforehand. They have to rely on the photographs, room descriptions, and information approved and displayed by the booking platform. A “non-refundable” policy should not mean that a hotel can simply avoid responsibility when the accommodation provided is materially different from what was advertised. I am uploading my own unedited photos of the actual room so that future guests can see the real conditions for themselves. If you are considering booking this hotel, I strongly recommend comparing my photos with the hotel’s promotional photos before making your decision. If the photos I am uploading here had been shown to me before booking, I would never have made this reservation. I am extremely disappointed not only with the hotel’s handling of this situation, but also with the booking platform’s apparent lack of effective verification regarding the accuracy of the property’s promotional images.

G8 Center Hotel Saigon exceeded my expectations! From the moment we arrived, the staff was warm, welcoming, professional, and genuinely committed to making our stay comfortable and enjoyable. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and conveniently located, making it easy to explore Ho Chi Minh City and get to many of the places we wanted to visit. Our accommodations were well maintained, and the overall atmosphere made it a wonderful place to return to after a full day of sightseeing, shopping, and experiencing the city. What stood out most was the hospitality. The staff was attentive, helpful, and resourceful whenever we needed assistance or recommendations. Their kindness and excellent customer service made us feel valued as guests and added so much to our experience in Vietnam. G8 Center Hotel Saigon provided an excellent combination of comfort, location, service, and value. I would absolutely recommend it to anyone visiting Ho Chi Minh City, and I would gladly stay here again on a future visit.
