Hoang Hai Long

Stayed here for 4 nights in total in late December 2024. The first 3 nights were part of an organised tour that ended in Saigon, and I had then booked an extra night separately. The hotel is in a brilliant location. It's actually 3 hotels in one: the hotels are part of a big block and there are entrances onto two separate, parallel roads. You can walk through from either side, with the restaurant on one side, and the main reception and valet services on the other side. This is useful if you need to get a taxi / bike as you can pick the road that has less traffic, which is good when there's a big roundabout just down the streets from the hotel. Check-in was quick and, because it's more than one hotel, you need to make sure you take the right lift to get to your room as they don't interconnect. Because I'd booked separately after my main stay, I'd chosen the cheapest room available, which was different to the room I got at the start of my tour - I've used captions on my photos so you can see the difference between the rooms. Not sure if the second room might have actually been one of the other hotels that are part of the same block but, as you'll see below, it doesn't make a massive difference. The first room was spacious, very light and with nice fixtures and fittings. There was a very comfy bed, a desk & stool, chair and table, TV, kettle and 2 free carafe of water. The wardrobe had plenty of space to hang clothes and you could struggle if there were two of you with very large cases, but otherwise, the room was big enough. Everything was spotlessly clean and I slept well. The air con worked well, as did the wifi which had good speed and range. The bathroom was a good size and the shower was large by Vietnamese standards, with plenty of hot water and good water pressure. The towels were all clean and good quality. For breakfast, you head back down to the floor where you check in and grab a table. They have counters on them that you can turn over from Vacant to Occupied, which is really handy if you're having breakfast on your own - you don't have to leave something to show that someone is still sitting there when you head to the buffet! There was a great selection of food - local and international (hot options, cold pastries and fruit, as well as cereals). You're free to access any of the different buffet stations (it's more than one hotel remember) and they also have freshly cooked pancakes. My only issue was that they often ran out of the freshly made juices. It also got really busy at one point and I ended up sat with another solo traveller so I could eat my breakfast so bear in mind you might need to wait for a table at peak times. Check-out was quick and, fortunately, the room I'd booked separately was ready so I was able to take my luggage straight up to it. The second room I stayed in was different - I'd chosen the cheapest room they had and it actually had no windows, but that was fine as I didn't spend a lot of time in it during the day, and no windows was ideal to sleep! The room was obviously smaller and a bit more basic, but still had a desk and chair, 2 carafes of water, a TV and air con which worked well. The bed was just as comfy if not as big. The bathroom was also more basic - more like a wet room as the shower was part of the room (not a separate cubicle). But it still worked well and the towels were the same quality. I used the small gym / fitness centre at the top of the building - it had a couple of treadmills and weights. There's also some space if you want to stretch (someone else was doing some yoga whilst I was in there) so plenty if you want to keep active whilst you're away. The spa is also at the top of the building, along with the bar and cold pool. Didn't use these but they looked busy when I did have a look. Check-out when I finally left was just as swift as I'd prepaid for everything. They were able to safely store my luggage and the concierge offered to get me a taxi but I was happier to use the Grab app when I was ready to head to the airport. Overall, a great stay here. The location is good as you're in the city, with plenty of cafes, restaurants and a 7-11 just down the street. The staff were all friendly and helpful, and spoke good English. The first room I had which was part of the tour was great. The second room that I booked myself was great value for what I needed.

With my families and 3 guys we booked looking at the photos of the site (the only site with beautiful photos) but in reality they trick tourists by putting photos of a beautiful building but then there are 2 other buildings with the same name and the same chain. Paying a lot we ended up in a 2 star hotel

This is a big hotel in District 1. The hotel was well run and the staff were friendly and very helpful. Waiting staff asking if they could make improvements, I could not suggest any as the service they offered was impressive. Food at breakfast was super. Room was large, bathroom well equipped. Wi-Fi strong and Air Con good. Perhaps black out curtains would be beneficial, Saigon has many big digital billboards, we got a flickering Blue light show during the night. Sky bar offers a good view of the city
