Dag Hotel

Stayed for two nights, hotel is in a good location close to the train station and a short walk to the beach. The owner and staff were helpful and spoke English. The room was a little damp and the bed was hard but At £7.50 a night for a private room you do get what you pay for.

I booked this hotel via Booking.com because it is in walking distance of the trainstation, cheap and had a not too bad review so for one night before travelling on to Dalat should be OK. Bad thinking though. My family got used to (very) firm/hard matresses in Vietnam but these can not be called matresses because they were comparable in comfort with lying on the floor. Furthermore, bedlinen had many stains, the rooms had no window and were not that clean and the AC was very loud. This combined with the non English speaking staff and an unpleasant odour in one of the rooms made us decide to this negative review. I can simply not believe the not too bad average score and afterwards I realised I should have read the Tripadvisor reviews before booking it. Although even here some are positive, we would certainly not recommend rooms 205 and 302 in which we stayed.

We are a family with 3 children traveling Vietnam. We booked This hotel through Booking.com - our train arrived in Nha Trang at 20:30 but by then the hotel had rented our room to others and where fully booked. They told that they do this after 17:00 if no show. Hotel staff tried calling another hotel that was fully booked as well. So we were left to our own devices.
