Bungalow Mai Phuong Binh

We went to a birthday party with our wife in late February, early March. The hotel is very cozy, drowned in greenery, peace, quiet and quiet... We were given a two-bedroom room with a large living room with a kitchen area. The water didn't give two or three bottles, but a 19-litre bottle with a built-in tap, considering I'm a big tea drinker - that was just wonderful! The hotel only has breakfast, but don't be sad, fo-bo soup is served for breakfast, eggs and omelets are fried, pancakes are served. Also a few salads, cereal, side dishes and roasts (of poultry, fish), fruit, tea, coffee, cocoa, milk...Well, after breakfast you will not be hungry, 15 meters from the hotel gate there is a "Little Cafe" where you can always have lunch and dinner. If you miss Russian or European cuisine, you will see two restaurants on the main road, one called "Friendship", the other I don't remember, but he has a mattress next to him, it is human-sized and visible. Nearby bus stops for travel to the north or south of the island, as well as currency exchangers. In walking distance the observation deck with the bridge of love, do not confuse with the bridge of kissing, you need to go there by car. I liked everything about the hotel, next time I go to the island, I'll try to get to this hotel.

This is a fantastically quickly little spot on Phu Quoc. The value for money was unparalleled at around £20 per night. The location is close enough to walk to the night market but far enough out to not be loud. We rented a motor bike easily from reception at a very reasonable rate. Our room was comfortable with 2 large beds and the shower powerful. The swimming pool was lovely and often quiet. It is only a 5 minute walk to the beach a the staff are 10/10! Make sure you look out for the cute doggies! This was the only non 5 star hotel we stayed in while in Vietnam and we were more than happy. To speak to the security and safety of the place also. I left an engagement ring with reception which was kept in the safe over 3 day and given back in perfect condition. Is it a 5* resort? No. But if you take it for what it is you get a comfortable stay, with a pool which is close to the town and the beach. Add in the filling breakfast and pleasant staff. I think it’s worth the money.

The breakfast is delicious, you can choose from traditional Vietnamese dishes, but you can also ask them to prepare eggs and pancakes for you. The bungalow has everything you need, the air conditioning works great, as does WIFI. There is also a kettle and a TV. The bed is perfect, with a comfortable and soft mattress. The pool is great, and there are two pools. One is in another bungalow nearby, which is about a 3-4 minute walk away. You can also use it. I loved swimming in the pool until late at night, watching the sky, the moon and the stars, listening to the sounds of nature. Free towels for the pool and the beach are available every day. Near the bungalow (literally a few seconds walk) is a restaurant called Little with local food, which you will pay the cheapest on the island. Also about a 5 minute walk away is a family stand where a lady sells delicious sandwiches for only 20 thousand dong. There is also a laundry nearby, which is also very cheap. The hotel staff, especially the young man named Ann at the reception, are very helpful and friendly, ready to help at any time. This place is great for a vacation, and also for digital nomads like me, who work while traveling. The prices per night are reasonable. If you want to go to a beach with crystal clear water, then Sao and Khem beaches are about half an hour away by motorbike. The beach near the bungalows is not good for swimming, it is very dirty, the sea is murky and looks like a river. Regardless, I would come back to this bungalow again and plan to do so in two years.
