Lang Cau Home Stay

Hard bed, friendly staff, dark and slightly prison like room (not that I've been locked up). For $8 knocked down from $10 it was ok. I had a private room with a fan. Good access to WiFi. Room not particularly secure but I didn't have a problem. No new sheets or towels for 1 week!! Had to put 2 mattresses upon each other as the bed was so hard... Virtually every service they offered was more expensive than anywhere else and frankly they don't deserve to ask for more. The restaurant was overpriced and food not that impressive. So positives.... It's 400m from a great beach, good WiFi, hot water, pleasant garden type setting. 20mins walk from the main life of long beach. Would I stay here again. Possibly?!?

We stayed here for 5 nights and found this hotel to be ok. The room was big but the walls were all wooden and so it made it unnecessarily hotter. The air conditioning worked like a charm so can't really complain. The shower was good too offering hot water. Only downside is that there were a lot of bugs in the room. After checking-in we found a frog had made itself comfortable in our room, sitting on a chair. And despite there being mosquito nets on the windows and ceiling of the bathroom we found that mosquitos and spiders kept on coming in. The other downside was that the frogs outside our room kept croaking all mighty long-and loudly too!! So if you're a light sleeper you might need ear plugs. Upside is that the access to the beach was convenient and the beach itself was the cleanest stretch of the Long Beach.

We stayed at Lang Cau Home Stay our first night on the island and it was absolutely lovely. Great seafood for supper and beautiful wood carvings and furniture! The rooms were large and clean, surrounding greenery was beautiful and a short walk to the beach! Bed was a bit hard, but for $12 a night it was a great deal!
