Novotel Ha Long Bay

Although the facilities are great - the pool, the restaurant - the changes in HaLong Bay have a negative e impact on this hotel. The noise from the Beach bar blasting techno music till after midnight then the construction work through the night. Awful!

I stayed here for one night. Very nice hotel! OK area. Friendly staff. The room was quite big, very clean. The bed was big and comfortable. In the room, a small fridge, very useful, a medium-sized TV (I didn't use it, safe, kettle, bathrobe. The bathroom was big, clean, with an interesting layout. The air conditioning worked OK, as did the Wi-Fi.

We were 💯 delighted to stay in this stunning hotel! Don’t let the outside fool you, they are in process of revamping it. The rooms were so beautifully designed I was speechless. All lobbys were stunning. I couldn’t believe how the mixed traditional and modern designs with so much functionality. Room service- within 20 minutes we received a delicious food, no hidden charges, so much to choose from and it was cheaper than eating outside. Can you believe it? Mix of Vietnamese food, american classics,exquisite salads, basically everything you want to see on the menu without the price tag. My son and husband ate their beef burger almost every day and it was the best burger they ever had. Staff, everyone spoke fluent english, organised cheap taxis, so helpful with everything!!! No silly rules anywhere. We had fun at the pool, ate at the pool and enjoyed the busy views of HaLong. It’s about 8-10mins walk to the beach which is awesome, having parties for free that you would pay £100 to get in in London. Unbelievable. And no, you don’t really hear any noise when back in your room. The location is TOP! All games in the bar are free- pool, hockey, playstation, fusball. Bartenders were great too- again with fluent English. It has a night market daily and if you have kids, they also hire out these light up cars ( free inside the market, so you can do your shopping in peace, whilst they keep an eye on your kids) and for about £3 right outside of the hotel. Walking distance from the Sun park, with water slides, only £5 to get in for whole day! Whaaat? Same price is for the theme park with big and small rides or cable car. Just so much to see and do. 3 days wasn’t enough in this location and fab hotel. I will recommend this hotel to anyone. If you scrolling through hotels like we did for ages, this is you pick - just trust me.
