Heritage Halong

Unsure whether the bed was just a box spring - didn't want to remove the sheet to find out. Hard as a rock. I've slept outside, without a mattress on softer dirt. I'm sure this hotel was incredible in it's heyday, but now, it's sad, tired, a little downtrodden and in need of both cosmetic and functional upgrades. Staff was incredibly nice and friendly. Ownership seems to be riding the coattails of yesteryear. There's money to be made in a mid-range price point here with a few changes to the guest experience.

We had an amazing experience with the Heritage crew and ship at Ha Long bay. Our trip did not start as planned (landed far beyond plan) but the team at Heritage offered to pick us at the airport rather than hotel, took us on a small boat at night to reunite with the main ship… all this not planned. It ended up being superb. Great service, great team, great food (for a demanding group of foodies) and what a wake up in the morning in the bay. I can only highly recommend Heritage. True attention to details

Used to be one of the better hotel in halong bay in the early days but is kind of old n run down now. The room is still above average n comfortable but the noise from the pub opposite the road is something you need to deal with (very loud until 2200hrs+)
