Victoria Falls Safari Lodge

We had a wonderful stay at Victoria Falls Safari Lodge. Our room offered a panoramic view of the savanna below, where we could see a waterhole in the distance. With binoculars, you can catch glimpses of wild animals coming by to drink water. What a luxury it was to have a staff member set up mosquito netting over our bed each night. The breakfast buffet was excellent, featuring made-to-order entrees, and our meal at the bar was equally superb. The building and decor beautifully reflect a safari theme. The lodge also offers a free, regularly scheduled complimentary shuttle van for drop-offs and pick-ups in town, shopping areas, and the Victoria Falls National Park entrance. While it is only about 3 to 4 kilometers into town, walking is not advised due to wild animals. As a delightful bonus, a ranger comes by daily to feed the vultures, which was a huge hit with the guests.

Victoria Falls Safari Lodge delivers an absolute masterclass in authentic Zimbabwean hospitality. The entire environment wraps you in a beautiful celebration of our heritage and culture, which made me incredibly proud to experience. The real star of our stay, however, was Courage Bizure. The level of personalized attention and meticulous care he exhibited was next to nothing. He didn't just provide standard customer service; he went above and beyond to make us feel incredibly valued, focusing on the little details that truly matter. Courage represents the absolute best of Zimbabwean warmth and dedication. Highly recommend this lodge to anyone looking for a world-class stay with a genuinely authentic soul. We will definitely be back!

The SafariLodge is OK. The architecture of the main building over several levels and with many stairs to the restaurant, the terrace, the bar, the gallery, etc., is impressive. The location in the greenery with a view of a waterhole and only a short shuttle ride into town is also good. From our double room with 2 beds and a small balcony (unusable in the midday heat), we also had a view of the waterhole. However, three steps to the bathroom were a problem at night. The breakfast buffet was decent, but the quality of the dinner offerings has room for improvement. The hotel offers safaris and other excursions, and the helicopter flight over Victoria Falls and the river cruise dinner were worth the money.
