Standing 42 meters tall, it was constructed from sandstone in 1931. Within this area is another of India's most important landmarks: Rajpath, "the King's Path," a ceremonial road used during Republic Day each year. This road is located in the heart of Delhi and stretches from Rajpathi Bhavn through Vijay Chow. We will then visit the Lotus Temple, a Baha'i religious site in Kolkata, New Delhi. Completed in December 1986, its distinctive design has made it a major tourist attraction. Afterwards, we will visit the National Museum in New Delhi to pay homage to the relics of Gautama Buddha, discovered in Piparwa in the Basti district of Uttar Pradesh, northwestern India, near the Nepalese border, in 1972. We will also explore other historical sites within the museum grounds. The National Treasure Museum of India is one of the largest museums in India, established in 1949. It displays a variety of artifacts ranging from prehistoric times to modern art. It is operated under the government, managed by the Gwyer Board, which was established by the Government of India in 1946. Other parts of the main building are made of marble.
Lunch : Enjoy lunch at the restaurant
We will take you to witness the flag-lowering ceremony at the Wagah border, an important border crossing between India and Pakistan, located between Amritsar and Lahore on the Pakistani side. The parade closes the border crossing every evening around 4:30 PM, with Pakistani soldiers in black uniforms and black fan-shaped hats, and Indian soldiers in brown uniforms and red fan-shaped hats. This parade demonstrates the strength and formidable power of both sides, showcasing their movements and elegance. This ceremony symbolizes the respect shown between friend and foe, but when they take off their uniforms, they are considered brothers. The friendship of the people at this border remains unwavering. Afterwards, we will take you back to the heart of faith, the central pool in Amritsar. You will need to change your attire; men and women must wear a headscarf as a sign of respect for the place. We recommend that you bring your own, but if you don't have one, the officials will provide them (wearing a headscarf is mandatory).
Afterward, we will visit the Golden Temple. This temple houses the Guru Granth Sahib, the sacred scripture of Sikhism. Inside the temple, priests read scriptures to visitors. In 1830, the temple was renovated and painted gold, living up to its name. It has four entrances, symbolizing equal welcome for all regardless of class, religion, or ethnicity. It is not only an important religious site for Sikhs but also a symbol of brotherhood and equality for all humanity, without discrimination. Everyone can come for pilgrimage and spiritual guidance. Afterwards, we will explore Amritsar Heritage Street, a historic street that showcases the diverse charm of Amritsar. It connects the Golden Temple with various important landmarks within the city, featuring original architecture from different eras, restored to its pristine condition in the modern era. The atmosphere is charming and warm, transporting you back to the time when Amritsar was the center of Sikhism. Upper Dharamshala, also known as 'Mae Khlod Ganj', is located higher than the lower city and is a major refugee center. It was built by Phra Theppariyatisuthee, the abbot of Singburi province, with the purpose of providing accommodation for monks, novices, and lay people, including Thai students studying in this city while learning English, as well as spreading Theravada Buddhism to foreigners, allowing Tibetans and Hindus in the area to learn about Buddhism. The temple building is unusual for Thais as it does not resemble the style of temples in Thailand, but is only a three-story building because it is built on a hill to suit the landscape. Visit Namgyal Monastery, a Vajrayana monastery and the residence of the Dalai Lama, and Tsuglagkhang Monastery, outside of Tibet. Serving as a learning center for Tibetan monks, "Namgyal Dratsang," meaning "Victory Monastery," is unique because the Namgyal monks chant and perform all types of rituals, including those practiced by the main schools of Tibetan Buddhism. Located next to the central cathedral, the Namgyal Monastery is famous for its gilded statue of Maitreya Buddha, a symbol of hope and the future of Buddhism. The monastery was opened in 1574 by Sonam Gyatso, the third Dalai Lama, but it was actually the work of the second Dalai Lama. The 14th Dalai Lama fled Tibet and established the current Namgyal Monastery in MacLeodganj in 1959 with 55 monks. Following the Chinese invasion of Tibet, the original monastery in Lhasa helped restore this new place of worship to its current revered state. Afterwards, visit the Tibet Museum, located in the Tsuglagkhang Complex, which showcases and preserves Tibetan cultural heritage. Inside, there is a collection of artifacts, photographs, and documents related to the history, art, and culture of Tibet.
