08:00 AM Arrive at Narita International Airport, Japan (local time is 2 hours ahead of Thailand. Please adjust your watch to the local time for convenient appointments). We will proceed through immigration and customs.
*Important: Japan does not allow the import of fresh food, such as meat, vegetables, and fruits. Violators will be subject to arrest and fines.
Departure to Gunma Prefecture (approximately 3 hours). Surrounded by mountains and volcanoes, this province boasts abundant nature and is renowned for its world-renowned onsen (hot springs).
Lunch (Meal 1) served as a bento.
Uncover the sacred legend of the origins of the famous Daruma doll at Shorinzan Darumaji Temple, an ancient and mysterious Zen Buddhist temple. Where the power of faith was born... Within this temple, a centuries-old story has been told of a statue of the compassionate Bodhisattva Kannon and a statue of Bodhidharma, miraculously enshrined side by side! The area later became known as "Shorinzan," the sacred site where the Daruma appeared.
Check in at Kusatsu Onsen (approximately 1.5 hours away), renowned for boasting the largest natural hot springs in Japan for over 600 years. Two of its most famous attractions are Yubatake and Netsunoyu, as well as the Yumomi performance.
Recommended places to visit at Kusatsu Onsen include:
1. The iconic Yubatake, a steamy hot spring bath with approximately 4,000 liters of hot water per minute flowing through bamboo troughs to various bathhouses, reminiscent of the Japanese style seen in scenes from cartoons and movies. (Tour fee does not include admission.)
2. Yumomi and Netsunoyu performances at the bathhouse. The performance involves stirring the water with a large wooden paddle to lower the temperature without adding cold water to dilute the minerals in the water. Traditional songs are also performed. (Tour fee does not include admission and show fees.) (The performances are held daily, but may be closed during renovations. There are six performances per day: Morning: 9:30, 10:00, 10:30 // Afternoon: 3:30, 4:00, 4:30)
* Note: The performance schedule may vary depending on the time of day you arrive at the attraction.
