Muju Resort

Muju resort is comparatively good place to experience skiing and snowboarding in Korea during the winter since it’s closest to the ski field where there are less people there (compare to those in Gangwon-do). The staffs are kind and ready to help the customers at the ski renting counter. The resort in winter is decorated with beautiful lights. Good place to stay for skiing. (No drinking water provided in my room - 5 people bedroom)

I stayed here for almost one week. The hotel is built in an traditional Alpine style, which feels a bit heavy. The hotel is right next to the ski slopes - ideal for skiing. I found my room always very clean. The internet was fairly ok. The elevators are small and very slow, which led to queues in the morning. Probably the most annoying aspect was that the room door was not soundproof and I could hear neighboring guest as they walked back to their room until the early hours. The food was ok, but the service at times a bit impolite - typical for places with only few repeat customers. I stayed at the hotel for a business meeting, but I myself would not stay here for a weekend getaway.

The resort overall is quite old and not maintained well but the weather is quite cooler during the hot summer. Good place to escape from air conditioning and enjoy cool and fresh air. We took a cable car to go up to the mountain for a small hiking which was also great.
